![]() ![]() MT Power Drum Kit 2 is available to download for Windows and Mac (VST/AU). Its kick and snare drums come through clearly in any mixing situation – and still sound natural and not overly compressed. But this is exactly where the MT Power Drum Kit is strongest. It’s wicked for composing your own patterns, or stringing together grooves for the drum accompaniment you need. In addition to top notch drum sounds that cut through any mix, it also has a fully pre-programmed groove library. Either the kick drum suddenly sounds much too slack or fuzzy in the mix, or the snare drum, which initially sounds so natural and dynamic, in solo mode suddenly gets lost in the background in the overall mix, drowned out by the guitars and other instruments. MT Power Drum Kit 2 isn’t just a plugin for drums. Some of the expensive plugins available on the market deliver a highly natural and dynamic drum kit sound as a solo instrument, but many fail as soon as they are supposed to be used for a complete mix in a powerful pop or rock production. That’s important, since this is precisely where many drum sample programs are weakest. The MT Power Drum Kit Sampler differs from other, expensive drum samplers in that we have already pre-processed the sounds with compressors and EQs to make them a perfect fit for any mix. Finally, I really appreciate the mount on the bottom, which is compatible with a snare stand. Includes 570 drum voices, 30 phrase voices, 75 preset drum kits, 10 user drum kits, 105 preset songs. Samples have been specially recorded and processed to make them ideally suited to use in pop, rock and metal productions. So my desire to figure out more about this drum software is more about the geeky figuring out part, not as much about needing to unlock the functionality. The MT Power Drum Kit is a new drum sampler offering the powerful, high-quality sounds of an acoustic, realistic drum kit. This a quick and simple solution sometimes, and once in a while I like to change my routine. MT Power Drum Kit 2 isn’t just a plugin for drums. I do need to clarify that I use Addictive Drums for almost all of my drum needs. But about the sync issues.mine is synced with my start and stop. Ok, I understand all of the routing stuff now. JamStix, EZD, BFD, Cakewalk Session, all sync with start/stop, but this doesn't. I searched for a sync option, such as AD1 and AD2 have, but haven't found it. ![]() The module isn't syncing with the start/stop in Reaper for me. The cymbals and everything else are already grouped into out-1 by default upon loading MT-Drums, only slightly panned L to R, so essentially any phase issues would already have been worked out by the developer. I did test the output in mono and didn't notice any phasey jet-sound stuff going on. The hard panning L/R is within the MT-Drums mixer itself in order to separate each individual piece. Meaning keeping the recorded output as MIDI instead of audio? Just explode the full MT-Drums MIDI output by note-row without changing the output. Not sure what you mean by explode each item to new one-channel items, though. I put the toms on 4 (that's the way I have EZDrummer set up - toms on 1 stereo track), the ride and bell on 5, crash left on 6, crash right on 7 and china on 8. Using RealDrumCharts in MT Power Drum Kit 2 easy as 123 Full Screen. Jeff: I just tried this for separating the 13 components, using only 7 of the 8 outs, by combining them in pairs and hard panning L/R within each pair.Īfter recording, simply explode each item to new one-channel items, where they will now be in mono. is there any way to get it to start/stop in sync? Nice drum VSTi - crisp clean sounds - low CPU (>.2% here!) - uncomplicated, easy to use GUI.ĭoesn't sync up with the DAW, though (although it does pick up the BPM).
